Vamshi - Destiny's Child

Power Star Puneeth surely deserved to prove himself after a series of disappointing movies this year. Vamshi - Destiny's Child comes in as a power packed commercial entertainer. Of course with the production house reputation at stake as well and director Prakash having to live upto the success of Milana, Vaamshi was the best sandalwood lovers could expect coming towards the end of this year.

The narration of the film has been designed to follow a 'classic approach'. Trying to portray the emotions of a rowdy son who wants to make an impact with the society by trying to become a responsible cop is the main glimpse of the script. Along with the always successful mother son relationship coming into play it gives a clean mix of action and sentiment with a small dose of comedy in bits and pieces.

Puneeth lives up to his power star image. Stunts, actions dwell in abundance. Maybe he could improve on his keeping the heroism image controlled and concentrate more on performance. New entrant into sandalwood Nikita (though a known face in the neighboring industry) has little scope but does justice to her role. But no prizes for guessing the winner. Its Lakshmi the old war horse who just doesn’t show any deterioration in her acting skills. Kudos to her for giving so much life into the mother role enacted by her. Komal tries hard to tickle your stomach. But the comedy is below average and just seems like they had added it to increase the runtime. Ravi Kale yet again is riveting. Dialog delivery is the key.

RP Patnaik comes up with yet another melody album. Bhuvanam sung by Soham Chakravarthy sets off the film to a healthy start. JOthe Jotheyali sung by Puneeth himself is already a hot favorite in all the FM stations and not to forget the Sonu Nigam song Yenaito which gives the thump during the second half. Another thing to note on the album is a Rajkumar song re-user to emphasize the mother sentiment. Thayi Thayi song - credits to Hams.

Vamshi may just be the movie which might seem like a change of image movie for Puneeth who was only seen in simple jolly easy going love stories all these years. Will this be an impact on his future movies as well only time can tell.. Though Vamshi was stated as a remake of a popular tamil flick i must say it had some serious changes in the script. No point cribbing or pin pointing fingers but surely there is no deny most scripts nowadays are inspired ones.

This should give you guys enough entu to watch the movie.

Bachna Ae Haseeno : Bachna Mathh !!!!

My My My ... Here's a new kid on the block all set to break the Khan's barrier in bollywood. Leave along the movie ;-) but a sterling perfomance by Ranbir Kapoor is the major factor to speak in Bachna Ae Haseeno's success if at all it does become a hit. 3 heroines all portrayed to give a oomph effect on the posters share equal screen space thanks to Yash Raj's official director Siddarth Anand making a comeback after a disastrous Ta Ra Ram Pum. This venture may not prove to be so costly for him but lack of substance is something which has been common since his debut in Salaam Namaste as well.

******** U may skip this para if u want to avoid a spoiler on the movie *********

Coming back to the movie its time yash raj went out of switzerland and sydney and showed us some more new locales... lol ... Starting off with a spoof on the evergreen DDLJ's protagonist Raj(SRK) the script moves on the same lines with the same one liners with the gal here Minnisa Lamba (not simran :P) missing her train (lol again) in Switzerland and our hero accompanies her to lead her to her parents but this is in a 2 weeler and not a smashing red convertible as SRK(:P). No prizes for guessing wat happened next.. love blossoms ... and yet again the guy screws it up .. dont ask how wat ... same old crap wer he's blabbering to his fnds abt his experience and she's just behing hearing everything from behind.. When they'l come over this age old concept even i'm waitin wit bated breath... Ok so all this was in 1996 ... so we'l move forward and now its 2002 in Mumbai and time for Bips to hit the screen. By now our hero is such a settled fella.. works for microsoft making game software for xbox (aaahh wat an amazing life) .. Radhika(Bips) is the gal next door and yet again Raj’s charm works on her. She falls in love and soon marriage is on the cards. But Raj, being Raj :-D, screws up again and flees to Sydney. OMG dont tell u had never seen such things before...

Lets come back to the main reason y we may have gone to watch the movie.. yes yes ok no matter how many times i may deny it directly it was deepika only ok... Now wat do we get to see then. Gayatri (tats deepika) is a cab driver in Sydney.. Pls gimmi a break .. if tats wat ur tellin urself in ur mind .. Raj falls for her and for a change its not infactuation its really love..And what she certainly doesn’t want is marriage. The trouble is – this time Raj falls in love and proposes her, only to get the taste of his own medicine. Now tat was some glimse of wat ur gonna expect .. wat happens after tat .. well just buy your own tickets and watch it.. :P

Midse all this Rambir stands out portraying a bold performance mixed with emotions and a little bit of comedy. Real Killer with wonderfull screen presence and loads of talent maybe yet to be explored in future. Minisha playing a bubbly role was maybe the best among the ladies. Bips ofcourse casted as bombshell :-O .. HOt but chemistry, biology maths watever u call it wit Ranbir ofcourse is completely outta sorts. Deepika atleast a little better tis time since OSO and watever little we got to see her in the kannada movie Aishwarya. Better ease here. Kunaal kapoor plays a small cameo in the second half. Kudos to him he does live upto it well..

Vishal Shekar duo churn out a few popular numbers but Kuda Keyle stands out and they've been very smart to use it as main background score weapon as well. Siddharth the director just shows some signs improvement but depends on how he's nurtured by Yash Raj. First timers of his movies may feel the pinch especially in the second half with badly placed songs, predictable sequences, silli narration in the climax. But if your ready to give a damn to all the IF's it may just turn out to be a neat entertainer and worth your popcorn and ticket ;-).
Avoid the frequent glitches and watch it... maybe its worth a watch.

Bombaat - What Kind Of Ganesha Aata Was this!!!!

There were different views within the industry as to how Ganesh's fortures may turn after marriage... Unfortunately looking at the scripts being selected offlate by Ganesh looks really the difficult times have come.

D Rajendra Babu known for the stale outdated scripts lives upto his name yet again. Returning after Bindaas this just seems like a continuation from where he left Power Star tottering Golden Star given no opportunity at all to showcase his talents. The movie comes with a sub title which says "Idu ganesha Aata" but frankly speaking the aata never manages to impress apart from a few sequences of course.. All courtesy given to only Ganesh ofcourse and not the director.

Taunting narration, poorly placed songs, age old screenplay technique just shows the homework needed to make good commercial cinema is just not understood by the director. However Ganesh drags himself out of the drain by doing what he does best always.. entertaining the fans with his flow dialogs. However the action star image is something not his bowl of soup..Yes Goldy get back to the lover boy image, we don't want to see you kickassing the villains. Glamor Gal Ramya may have rejected Chellata before but now the Golden Star tag added to Ganesh might have lured her into the movie. The chemistry between the two just seems out of sorts.

Coming to the cinematography. My word!!! What kind of work is that. Terrible shots and the camera angles are so bad especially in the climax where Ganesh looks bewildered. Songs are picturised very ordinarily. Pity Mr Rockline for cleaning up his pocket in selecting big time locations but all look too ordinary on screen. And the choreographer must have just finished up his aerobics lessons and gone to the sets. Technical aspects including the editing all done half heatedly. Better they come of of the mind blog that Ganesh's movies will click by default.

The songs rendered quite well by meastro Mano Murty sound good but not very well picturised. Matinalli Helalarenu sung by Sonu is the song to be baffled about. The title track 'I Am So Bombaat' is placed at a wrong time in the movie as a result of which fails to catch up with the audience. The rest of the songs come and go but leave no impression.

Overall Bombaat is a movie which you may watch but only for the sake of Goldy and no one else. Fans may have something to cheer once the ganesha aata starts from the second half of the movie but too many plots and unnecessary flashbacks do get on your nerves. But the dialogs do manage to get the crowd onto their feet. Unnecessary exposure for Ramya in a song targetted at the front benchers could have been avoided. Ganesh looks too plumpy in some shots. Overall total timepass masala entertainer. Go for it with very low expectations so that you wont be disappointed. Watch the movie if your a Golden Star Fan ;-)

DARK KNIGHT - Too Far From Escapism

Are cartoons just an imagination... Kiddy stuff... Non realistic... well wait a minute !!! Batman is back as Dark Knight and well if you just thought its just another provocation decked out as a comic-book movie give a second thought... Dark Knight is amazing and well the records have just proved it. Director Christopher Nolan's absolute stunner of a follow-up to 2005's Batman Begins just got better.

Christian Bale as batman seems to be really frustrated with the people looking at him as an illegal outlaw breaking the rules. He's pissed that the public sees him as a vigilante. He'll leave the hero stuff to district attorney Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart) and stop the DA from moving in on Rachel Dawes, the lady love who is Batman's only hope for a normal life. The real hero of the movie as usual is ofcourse THE GREAT JOKER. Heheee just take this... the Joker, treats a stunningly staged bank robbery like his private video game with accomplices in Joker masks, blood spurting and ofcourse he wins it with ease... lol.. Okey we'l stop at tat.. its just not fair in letting out the whole story and expecting everyone to enjoy it :P

The charaterisation has been so excellent. Bale as Batman able to show the inside of the mind of his character and his way he has been portrayed is excellent. Wheather its the outfit, voice imulation, gadgets, vehicals .. Could this have been done better ???

The joker was gonna live and die the movie... Kudos to Heath Ledger..He pulled it off and really was the Joker. his sick demented laugh and facial expressions made me laugh and at the same time jolted in my seat. It was really hilarious to watch every scene of his...

I dont review english movies .. main reason being i dont keep track of the previous histories... but the hype was just too much to avoid giving it a try. Maybe i'l try better next time by improving my knowledge ... In all thumbs up for THE DARK KNIGHT ...

DARE U MISS IT :-D

Moggina Manasu - Realism shown in splendor

Commercial movies may always be the name of the game for any director... But making a commercial entertainer with a serious messege embedded in between is not child's play. Director Shashank comes out for this breezy kinda offbeat script which stikes the chord immediately.

As the subtitle says "Film for Girls" it truly lives up to that. Shashank seems have done a lot of homework on how minds of teenage girls work. Subject however is not something very new... Teens falling in love early and having to face the big bad world around them with their parents worrying ...However the narration style is what impresses. The cast have done a great job. Debutant Radhika Pundit impresses and the movie is really a boon for any upcoming heroine. Shubha Poonja banking on her previous success plays second fiddle alongside Radhika playing an innocent village girl. The other two girls Manasi and Sangeetha Shetty have minor roles. There is no one as a main hero but Yash stands out among the four boys.

The director has taken care to cover all the different aspects carefully with the whole story revolving around one main character which is Chanchala (Radhika Pundit). Various stages of love carefully grafted which gives the impression the movie is mainly targetted at the yougsters between the age group of 16-22. Both the flaws as well as the merits of falling in love is shown giving each character a special significance. There is no miss in comedy too. In between the intense the love stories Sharan provides comical relief playing the role of an imaginary character who keeps getting spoofed by every new girlfriend he gets. The concept thought seemingly lifted is quite new here in Sandalwood.

Major plus of the movie is ofcourse the music. Man of the moment Mano Murthy churns out yet another masterpiece here. Using Sonu Nigam and Shreya Ghosal to the best possible extent Mano lends a mixture of foottapping and melody which is brilliantly picturised and edited. Teenage song marking the first day of college and Male Baruva Haagide which stands out for the brilliant locations are the songs to look out. Climax song "I love You" sung by Sonu Nigam is kept at the right place to give a perfect ending to the movie. Geleya Beku song surely has resemblenses to a popular bollywood number.Ofcourse all this would look very ordinary if not for the eccentric camera jalak by Chandrashekhar.

Some sequences especially in the second half do drag a bit which adds to the patience but the climax just sums up to a great finish. However i do not blame to censor board for their rating since the movie deals with many sensitive issues. However the strong message is surely a boon if taken in the right spirit. Hats off to the technical team for giving a good movie like Moggina Manasu and hope such works become a regular in Sandalwood. Taking simple old stories but changing the narration style is what most of the directors should adapt do and there will be no lack of entertainment. Pissu Pissu Gussu Gussu anKond noDi Moggina Manasu and viewing this movie is not so injurious to boy's heart..... Hmmmmm maybe a little :-D

Chandigarh -- The Wonder City

Hi Friends,

I never told you people about my short but very pleasant visit to the best planned city and cleanest city in India, Chandigarh. The architecture and urban planning has been done with utmost care that it really leaves a mark on your first visit to the city.

The capital of Punjab & Haryana (now I can say I’ve visited both the states at one go) this city was actually Lahore before partition.. OMG did I go into Pak... lol.. Yep in a way I can say...

Thanks to my colleague for inviting me to his home and giving me a glimpse of this unique city. We started our day out from the Panjab University (no i didn’t do a typo .. it is spelt as PANJAB) where my friend lives.. A huge campus with loads of greenery it sure is a treat to spend your days of learning. Chandigarh as what i know is very popular for its quality of education..Affiliated to prominent universities it is one trying to jump deep into the IT world. The infrastructure of the city and its close proximity to the capital may be I assume the reason for its quick rapid growth in all fields. Well now coming back this city I must say is filled with most people having lots n lots of paper posing the Father of the Nation (Well I just meant money). Youngsters coming to college in nothing less than sedans was quite amazing to watch. Most of them involved in local politics as well so the inflow wouldn’t be a issue at all.

Stepping into the road will give you a shocker especially if you are from a city like Bengaluru. Gosh !! Which country are we in ??  Lush green lawns on either side of a 4 lane road with a divider in between.. and also an extra cycle lane on both sides... and traffic !! Ooopsies wait .. Now that must be a new term for the local population. No jams, No horning, Nobody rushing. Helmets are compulsory for even the pillion rider which is followed with utmost responsibility(Look whose talkin abt the helmet rule :D)... Being in UP past few months, i too had actually forgotten that RED in a signal means u gotta stop.. I was reminded about that...:-O .. Only hope such discipline will get implemented in our city sooner if not later it’ll be a great achievement.

I must tell you friends about this place called the Rock Garden. A 40 acre sculpture garden it is. The story goes that Nek Chand who is the creator collected materials from the demolition sites around the city (partition --> Pak --- > lots of things to break maybe ... :P ) and is supposedly built the garden illegally later made legal due to public demand... Hard to explain but marvels have been created from materials like broken bangles, odd shape stones, broken glass, bricks and even bulb holders.. Lesson to learn that nothing actually goes waste after use...

The whole place can be explored in a day n a half.. Smartly speaking not more than a day is really needed.

Hangouts are quite popular in the place just like ours .. though I’d say we got a better line of hangouts.. I just got a glimpse of one of the high profile ones in one particular colony... but wait I just had lunch at the restaurant and walked away.. The night-life was not that great though...Hardly any takers even without the 11:30 shutdown notice... Finally we just went for a drive to a hill station nearby and back post mid-night..

Coming to the malls.. Thumbs down. These are just forgettable structures compared to the ones in NCR.. But the insiders are just incomparable to any place. THE PUNJABI KUDIS !!?? Fashion clothes stitched to cover or to uncover. A BIG QUESTION MARK?? Some native of Chandigarh only must answer this.

Chandigarh is completely smoke free, plastic free. Buy anything from a shop and you will get it in a cloth or paper bag. I had heard of this before and its actually true. So many imported cars.. Man!! BMW's,Porshe,Lexus,Audi... name it and you will surely find it parked or zooming somewer.

Oh yes the Gol Gappa was tremendously delicious and so was the kulfies and so was the well I forgot all those Punjabi names... Unique varieties of snacks.. Not a great relief from aalu & paneers but Punjabi's have their own touch of enjoyable cuisines...

I couldn’t make it to Mohali and Patiala, however hoping I can go there sometime again... A memorable first time experience to one of the corners of India... As of now a rough road ahead with deadlines at work looking like demons approaching... Signing off .. Ciao till the next blog...

Dasavataram -- Review

Movies come and go. Some are brilliant some mesmarising... But very few movies which will leave you jolted onto your seat baffaled at a brilliant masterpiece which seems almost impossible to think of from scratch. If you want to catch innovation at its best Dasavataram is the movie you should just not miss.

One striking feature that hits you in the face once you have watched ‘Dasavatharam’ is Kamal Haasan's passion for filmmaking. All the ten roles he has essayed have been meticulously planned right from the body language to dialogue delivery. Be it the American president George Bush, the Vaishnavite priest of the 12th century or Fletcher, the American baddie playing an EX CIA officer.

The eyes are considered the most effective tools in creating the right kind of attitude for any actor and Kamal Haasan is a master at that. There are many a time in the film when the audience would have to force themselves to believe that it is the same actor who is the good guy as well as the bad guy. The roles have been placed so carefully that you just cant get out of it for any moment. The editing is so brisk and fast paced you just wonder if this is really a tamil movie or u've honked yourself into a latest Hollywood flick. The expressive and determined eyes of the priest, the mushy and yet funny countenance of Balaram Naidu, the hilarious CBI officer and the peaceful martial artist eyes of the Japanese character have all shaped up to fit into any acting text book. Hats off to Kamal Haasan on the acting front!! There's no second thoughts behing the effort put in by the great master who love for films just reach no bounds.

Based loosely on Chaos theory, the narration of the film promises a lot of excitement and as the story unfolds, somewhere down the line there are a few missing links that have been forcefully stitched together. Govind, the bio-scientist in the United States of America has been wronged by his boss who has intentions of selling his invention to wrong hands. The determined scientist doesn't give up. He sneaks it away and after a few accidents the invention lands in India. The hunt and race against time especially with Fletcher, the ex-CIA baddie sniffing at his neck with murderous intent culminates into Govind meeting an irrationally sentimental and at times sweet Andal (Asin). The baddie with sizzling Mallika Sherawat for company proceeds along the vulnerable Indian security system and shows up at the right places at the right time.

The narration then makes sure most of the characters played by Kamal get into close
proximity in terms of geography. The stunt sequences are quite professional with its share of thrilling moments, but then there are too many coincidences consistently. The protagonist and his slowly, but surely falling-in-love lady companion seem to be jumping off just about everything. Soft landing seems to be a predictable option at most times.

When it comes to action and stunt scenes, ‘Dasavatharam’ is head and shoulders above most Indian films. The music element in the film is passable with some breathtaking re-recording bits in patches. Hats of to Devi Shree for that. Himesh does live upto his name by putting in 4 numbers which do fit approriately into the storyline but wonder why they went in for him in the first place when they was talent overflow here in the south itself :P .

Cinematography has been simply awesome. The heavy compositing and trick shots have not dampened Ravi Varman's innate talent at creating the right kind of mood the film depicts.

‘Dasavatharam's’ review can never be complete without talking about the makeup part. Apart from the desired result one can guess the kind of effort and hard work Kamal Haasan would have had to go through just to get them on and that too on a daily basis. Makeup has been good overall except for a few shots that show off a kind of plastic look.Computer Generated Imagery plays a huge role in the film. When the same actor plays seven feet plus youth and an old woman who is barely five feet, one can imagine the kind of intensive scaling and image manipulation by the CG team. Recreation of the 2004 Tsunami is impressive and the action part weaves the intensity of the story. The most convincing factor for me was the reason given for the Tsunami hitting our country at the climax. Thought its a statement which would bare a mixed response from most people its gives a very good end to the great movie.

The direction has been apt sticking to the script in the true sense of the term. K. S. Ravikumar known for his simple style of narration has not been himself with ‘Dasavatharam’, but has shown sparks of ingenuity. I just wonder how the duo of Ravikumar and Kamal managed to plan and share their thoughts. Hats off to them.

Kamal Haasan has stuck to his favorite subject of the 'no God' debate in this film too and has glorified himself probably for the first time on screen with a dialogue directed at him as being the 'Ulaga Nayagan' .

Dasavataram --- Is a movie of the decade. Miss it and you have yourself only to blame.

Darode 'for LovE' - Film Review

Darode - a film by Uday Jadugar.

Darode is a dream of Uday Jadugar, a famous magician and shadow play maker.
He says, "cheating" is what he likes the most as whenever he does cheating, people like it. For eg: He is a magician.. magic tricks are just cheating skills right?.. Whenever he performs them, people like him.
So he has put all sorts of "cheating" skills in to the script in a "TIGHT" way and made a movie out of it by using average actors with a very small budget.
So here comes Darode.

First half is a bit slow, but in the second half, the script, screenplay is very thrilling which keeps you on the edge of the seat. second half has scenes wherein the team plans for the LOOT... and the mistakes they do in the execution of the preparation for it. They all hit them hard, during the day of darode, the way they overcome it has been shown impressively. Finally, police catches the team and then a criminal lawyer has enough points to disprove that they are the people who looted the finance company.
Screenplay is very impressive. Script is flawless and every minute-detail has been taken care of, if you deeply observe.

The main field where the film fails is, no star cast, no names, bad camerawork at some places in the movie, hopeless acting by some actors, Dubbing time dialogues change, which have shown majot lip-sync problems.

But if you think these points are not so big compared to other fields of the movie as its a LOW BUDGET movie, its a thrilling and entertaining movie.

Music has been very good considering the budget of the movie. Krishna Krishna, Cinema Cinema an
d one pathos songs are impressive. Lot of comedy dialogues makes the movie fun filled too.

Good effort by the low-budget team !

Antu Intu Preethi Bantu Audio Review

Psycho- Audio Review (Music by Raghu Dixit)

We have a new film called Psycho directed Devadatta. The specialty of this film is that the director has not revealed the faces of his film. But what is much more special is the music and the music director of this film. The music director and singer of this film is Raghu Dixit who gives takes us through a different experience in music.

1. Beladingalante neenu minuguta
Singers: Haricharan & Saindhavi

This song is a slow duet. The lyrics contain words which we do not see often these days. We can say most of the words are "Sanskrit" type of words. Slow beats and slow backing chorus and instruments lift the song. There are good BGM's and hummings in this song. Haricharan and Saindhavi make a soulful singing. We can say it's a nice lullaby type of song.

Psycho a film by devadatta. Music by Raghu Dixit.

2. Ee Tanavu Ninnade
Singer: Raghu Dixit

The song is a powerful sad song. The lead guitars, fast playing violins and jazz guitars provide the song that power. Drum beats are very clearly audible and precise. Singing style is different.

3. Eno ide
Singer: Raghu Dixit

The first thing we notice in this song is the starting lyrics:
eno ide eno ide
Ee preethi li no ide
Enide? Enenide?
Ee preethi li innenide?

This is a song of frustration and pain of love. This song seems interesting due to its lyrics than its music. A very simple but good orchestration. Nice singing too.

4. Mussanje Rangalli
Singer: Saindhavi

This is a pakka carnatic based song, be it the rhythm or the raga or the singing style. Falls easy on ears. Usage of several native string instruments in BGM and other places is good. When we think that the lines "ravi nintu mugila madilalli, . . . . nanna manasa taakadenu" are the end, the song tune further proceeds to even more higher altitude. This song written by R.N. Jayagopal is probably his last song.

5. Ninna poojege bande Mahadeshwara
Singers: Raghu Dixit and Haricharan

Here comes the highlight song of this album. The song and the singing style are a mix of Kannada folkish and Latino music. Raghu's pronunciation of "maaadeswara" makes us feel the nativeness even more. His singing style in this song resembles the singer of "shivappa kaayo tande" from the film Bedara Kannada. The rap between first stanza is meaningful too. Raghu's singing is very complex type. Haricharan's voice comes in between as a soft part. The usage of guitars, piano, trumpet and other instruments give the song a Latino touch.

6. Preethiya shantiya
Singer: Raghu Dixit

This is a National integration type of song. We have heard hundreds of songs describing our land in various ways. But what is special about this song is that the poet tries to tell us the universal nature of Karunaadu, the land of equality, love, knowledge, greenery, rivers and so on. The lyrics is very very good. The tune and orchestration of this song is much different from what we heard in songs describing Karnataka till now. The lines "namma naaaDu karunaadu" is very nice.

7. Theme music

The theme music is full of a flute. Nice one.

Altogether this album can be termed as an experimental one. We have a talented man Raghu Dixit experimenting new things in his music. Raghu has a very unique and powerful voice. He renders his songs in such a complex way that it is difficult to imitate. Variations in voice is what makes him stand out of other singers.

Raghu has made a brand of his own unique music which is a mix of Indian folk, western and Latino type. We hope he experiments even better in his next albums. Raghu's work reminds me of the Roja days of A.R. Rahman when he did not depend much on mixing. At present, we see most of the music directors depending on mixing and using synthesizers and using filters for voice. But Raghu has tried to give us music based on original performance.

Raghu has introduced two singers Haricharan and Saindhavi whose voices are fresh. Saindhavi has a very carnatic traditional voice. Kannada industry is under transition. We have seen Soori, Yogaraj Bhat and other directors in this new wave. And in terms of music, we have a new tribe called Raghu Dixit.

For those who would like to know more about Raghu Dixit, visit his personal site www.raghudixit.com . Raghu is a self learned guitar player and a traditionally learnt classical singer. He had a band called Antaragni. And one thing before ending, this man is a great talent here. I hope Kannada industry retains him before he is lost.

Thanks to Govinda for the review.

Aramane - Golden Star New Avtar

With Aramane's Release it seems like Ganesh has tried to find some new ground. After a string of movies pecking on his comedy, one liners and the popular rain concept here comes Aramane which puts a full stop to all that and gives more relavence to story rather than just timepass.

Golden Star Ganesh

Ganesh and AnathNag combo does'nt seem to end at all and here too they come up with a clinical performance. Hats of to AnanthNag who just seems to be getting better by the day and the emotions seem to be moted very well. Ganesh an ordinary photographer meets Ananth Nag a wealthy businessman. Ananth Nag has lost his belief in life and is a alltime drunkard. Ganesh takes up the challenge to bring back hope into Nag's life. What the challenge is and how it is taken up by Ganesh is the main plot. The screenplay is dragged in the first half but picks up well into the second half and has a very good climax. The editing is crisp thought some of the sequences could well be removed to shorted the movie. Sentiments have been narrated well.

Nagshekar has taken a lot of care in moulding the story. Screenplay by Preetam Gubbi could have been improved. Songs highly underrated have been shot well. Patra Bareyala is the best among the lot. Hats off to the brilliant lyrics by Kaviraj. The locales are extremely beatifull. Nanagu has Ganesh coming up with many new unexpected getups like Charlie Chaplin etc but does'nt have much significance in the script. Kolle is the suprise package. Long wait for the song but its worth.

Golden Star Ganesh

Heroine Roma does justice to her role thought she does'nt have much to do. Tejaswini also does a small cameo as her sister. Tara,Avinash and Kari Basvayya do justice to their roles. But the captain of the ship is Ananth Nag and Ganesh of course.

Thought the movie starts off on a slow track it gains pace into the second half and gives a typical feel in the end. Trend of ending movies abruptly is the talk of the town and Aramane is no different. Looking at the previous success of Ganesh Aramane surely looks like a walk in the park and should rake in with the female audiences especially. Wheather the palace will maintain Ganesh's reputation as hot property in Sandalwood or not .. Only time will tell.

Nanda Loves Nandita, but we hate him

Nanda Loves Nandita seems like a dream come true film. Reasons: We feel as if the director had a dream at night. He managed to recollect the things in the morning and approached a producer and by evening the cast was ready. It was shot in a week. And it was a dream come true for the hero, heroine, director and producer.

The scenes of the film are unclear than a real dream. We have to find using a microscope if there is something called as story and screenplay. Loose Maada alias Yogeesh plays the character of Nanda. He is quite good with his unique dialogue delivery and acting. And the newcomer actress Shwetha Shri has to first look into the dictionary and find out the definition of acting. Overall performance of all other artistes is below average.

The only plus point is the song “jikne mari naa” which is well choreographed by Imran Sardaria. Even this song gets over in the first 20 mins of the film, hence leaving no hope for us to watch further. Yogesh has given very good dance performance. Songs other than jinke mari do not even sound good.

Nanda Loves nandita Yogeesh Yogesh loose maada mada Shwethashri

And the film also looks like a collage of all rowdyism films together. Inspired by the weird names used in Duniya, the director happily coins some new names like “quarter”, “ditchi” and what not! Dialogue writer gives more prominence in using words like “kurpu.. right helu.. macha” than keeping anything meaningful.

Trouble for the audience starts as the film starts. And it ends as the film ends. Any normal person would want to go out of the hall in the first half itself. No words to appreciate the work of the director. Now a days, film people are wanting to cash on instant fame acquired by actors and are making films without any preparation. This film is an example for such trend.

Inthi Ninna Preethiya review

“Inti Ninna Preethiya”, is a film which will give you a kick of over-dose alcohol. The film’s first half is refreshing with two young lovers and their dreams. Soori handles the scenes between the lovers minutely.

But the problem arises in the second half. The screenplay in the second half completely revolves inside a bar. Lot of scenes involving drinking scenes may make it irresistible even for the Devdas if he ever existed. This is the main minus point of the film.

We feel some relief after Kitti sets right his life with Bhavana. But Soori again gives a twist and tests the patience of the audience. We feel like walking away at this moment. The climax involving the programme “etv ede tumbi haaDuvenu” being played in a bar is quite funny. May be we will have to expect that this film will change the trend!

inthi ninna preethiya sonu krishna shrinagara kitti

The real hero of this film is camera man Satya Hegde makes us feel everything as a natural lighting. He makes sure each frame comes out as artistically as the art works of Soori. The locations chosen in the first half are good. The song “ondonde” is a foot tapping number which everyone enjoy.

But the well written and composed song “madhuvana” karedare comes at a time when the screenplay is at its darkest pace. Hence the audience fail to appreciate the song. The film mainly fails due to its over drinking scenes and the bad pace of the screenplay.

Inthi Ninna Preethiya sonu kitti krishna soori

Yet Soori has made the film in an artistical way. We cannot compare this one with the usual 5 songs, 2 fights films. Soori has said many things using images and characters, which the normal audience may fail recognize. His way of showing the complexities and bitter truths of life is amazing. The scene where Kitti goes to a prostitute and sleeps on her lap and tells her about his love is one scene which will show what a wonderful humane thinker Soori is.

Rangayana Raghu who until now attracted us with his mannerisms and dialogues is here without uttering a word. He plays the role of disappointed lover who loses speech during after disappointment and does the work of burying dead bodies. Raghu makes one cry with his speechless acting. Kitti alias Krishna ha done a good job, but his talks when he is drunk is somewhat unclear and irritating at times. Bhavana, Sonu are good. Kishore has done very well.

In whole, Soori has tried to show what will happen in life without love. But the film does not live upto its expectations and fails.

Bindaas - Be Happy No BP : Only Fans Plz

Bindaas no BP be Happy. The subtitle may suit the movie but no matter what the title may say no point trying to fool the audience. A very raw script resembling the same old masala concept. D. Rajendra Babu comes old with the same old wine but filled in a very glossy looking bottle. The first half comes packed with humour and romantic sequences but the latter half drags its way through an action packed climax.

The film looks half baked does have its moments but sadly there are very few. Unfortunate for Puneeth to come up with this after a movie like Milana. The director fails in managing to take proper care in moulding the roles. Glam Gal Hansika Motwani looks like she's yet to even start her acting courses. Too young really to pick up major roles in movies. Komal as usual is the only person to look forward to tickle your stomach. Rahul Dev does justice to his negative role however Suman is wasted. Poor screenplay, unending fight sequences and poorly placed songs do add to the patience. The stunts are the only plus and mass audience will truly enjoy it. It's this theme portraying the Bindaas attitude which runs throughout the film's narrative which possibly is the best part of this offering from Babu.

Music by Gurukiran is very ordinary. None of the tunes really pick up and most seem like they resemble some previous tunes. However good job by cameraman Venu. Nalle Nalle and Gubbacchi Goodu songs have been shot very well with some neat editing. Puneeth again shows off his dance skills thanks to choregraphers Harsha and co.

In all Bindaas looks to be a movie craving for only the fans to watch and appreciate it. Its time the old directors started thinking of something fresh else they'l be lost in no time at the rate new talents are developing within the industry. Certainly not fair to write off Babu but hopefully he and rest of his time will certainly come up with innovative ideas. Puneeth should certainly be more choosy in future else the effort looks wasted on screen. Be Happy No BP Always be Bindaas. Bindaas - Strictly constricted to the fans only.

Ganesh weds Shilpa! Happy married life

Twenty four hours ago, it was speculated that Golden Star Ganesh would be mrrying soon within 15th or 18th of this month. And it was a big surprise for all to know that his marriage took place on monday at J.P Nagar house of the bride.

The name of the girl as we all know is Shilpa. Her father stays in Dubai and is a businessman. She is said to be a divorcee and has a kid too. Ganesh is said to have met her 6 months ago and finally decided to marry her. Ganesh's family sources said that he was forced to marry in a hurry due to the daily pressure from his fans.

Golden Star Ganesh's marriage with Shilpa

Ganesh Marriage with Shilpa

Except one or two, no media persons were told or invited. Only close relatives and industry friends like Yogaraj Bhat, Nagashekar, Producer K. Manju were present. It was a big surprise for the whole Karnataka to have this news.

The fans have given a mixed reaction. Some said they were happy, some asked about the need to marry so secretly, some asked why he married a divorcee, while many felt that he had given a good message to the society by marrying a divorcee. Anyway it was all Ganesh and his family's decision where we have no right to interfere with their decision.

Gaalipata - Ravishing yet Raw

Yograj Bhat has churned yet another simple script into a grand output. Gaalipata being the most hyped movie after the success of mungaru male almost lives up to the expectation but could have definetely been made better. Bhat has tried his best to entertain the audience in each and every scene but unfortunately fails to wind up the movie well.

The heart of the movie is dialogs by Bhatt. Ganesh carries off a brilliant performance. Matured acting, confident dialog delivery makes him dominate the complete movie. A simple story but Yograj Bhat's innovative ideas make the movie special.

Daisy Bopanna Golden Star Comedy time Ganesh in Gaalipata Galipata

The constant blabber and eater Ganesh is superb with his expressions. Rajesh Krishnan and Digant almost go unnoticed between Ganesh. Daisy Bopanna impresses with a silent yet touching performance. Nitu and Bhavna Rao just do their bit. Ananth Nag does justice to the role but the person who walks away with the honors is cameraman Ratnavelu. The camera movements are breathtaking and look brilliant on screen.

Digant Diganth and Rajesh Krishnan in Galipata Gaalipata

Music by Harikrishna is another major plus to the movie. Apart from Aha Beduru Bombe all the songs are a exteremly well suited to the script. Nan Nai Nai song and Minchaagi Neenu received the maximum applause from the audience. Nadeem Dheem Thana sung by Chaitra deserves a special mention for its brilliant choregraphy.

Yet, Galipata is not an speckless film and could have done with tighter editing and a more unique ending. Watching this movie is 100% entertainment guarenteed.

Honganasu: film review

ಉದಾಹರಣೆಗೆ, "hey you close your eyes on me" ಎನ್ನುವ ಹಿಮ್ಮೇಳಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರೇಮ್ ಅವರಿಂದ ಆಹ್ಲಾದಕರ ನಟನೆ ಬಂದಿದೆ.

Sanajana Prem Honganasu Rathnaja Hamsalekha
